Buganda Kingdom Releases Program for Prince Wasajja’s Wedding

Prince David Kintu Wasajja and Miss Marion Elizabeth NankyaBuganda Kingdom has released the official program for Prince David Kintu Wasajja’s wedding slated for Saturday 27th April, 2013.

Prince David Kintu Wasajja is the youngest son to the late Sir Edward Muteesa II. As a prince, David Kintu Wasajja 47 has been very instrumental in the struggle to restore Buganda Kingdom. He has been an exemplary leader to the youth whom he has duly mobilized to identify themselves as part of the Kingdom’s organs. He has and still serves as Nkobazambogo Patron which has brought him closer to the youth and making him more popular among the young generation in Buganda.

Wasajja is set to marry Miss Marion Elizabeth Nankya a daughter to Hon. Mathias Nsubuga Birekeraawo the Member of Parliament for Bukoto South and Mrs. Jolly Nsubuga.

As a prince, Wasajja is a responsibility of the Katikkiro according the traditions and norms of the Baganda and it’s the very reason as to why Katikkiro led the delegation to the bride’s parents late last year for the introduction ceremony.

In a program released by the minister for information, Lukiiko, cabinet Affairs and also the official spokesperson of the Kingdom Charles Peter Mayiga, exchanging the vows will begin at 11:00 am at Lubaga Cathedral led by the Archbishop of Kampala Dr. Cyprian Kizito Lwanga. The public is welcome to attend the church service although sitting arrangements in the church will follow protocol. After the church service, invited guests will be hosted to a cocktail by Ssaabasajja Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II at Twekobe in the Lubiri at Mengo.

According Mayiga, since this wedding is not an ordinary one a few of Kabaka’s men and women have been invited for the reception at the Lubiri. The public is therefore urged to respect the invitations and carry their invitation cards with them to the venue. The press is also urged to get accreditation from the organizing committee to avoid inconveniences during the function.

The Kingdom extends its sincere thanks to all the people who have worked towards the success of this wedding right from the organizing committee led by businessman Godfrey Kirumira to all people who have generously contributed any form of support towards this wedding.
